    Principali interessi scientifici

    L’attività scientifica è prevalentemente incentrata su tematiche di Teoria delle decisioni, con contributi significativi nell’ambito dell’MCDA (Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis). In tale contesto ha elaborato metodologie originali e, nei più recenti lavori svolti in collaborazione a S. Greco (Università degli Studi di Catania) e R. Slowinski (Politecnico di Poznan e medaglia d’oro EURO), ha sviluppato la teoria dei Rough sets basati sulla relazione di dominanza (DRSA), proponendo il nuovo approccio MCDA che utilizza regole decisionali, con estensione anche nell’ambito della Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization, nonché l’assiomatizzazione di classici e nuovi operatori di aggregazione delle preferenze, in particolare nell’ambito del Conjoint measurement, della rappresentazione dell’interazione tra criteri, di approcci puramente ordinali e di integrali non-additivi.

    Tutti i risultati di tali ricerche hanno una collocazione editoriale internazionale, essendo stati pubblicati su prestigiose riviste scientifiche o su volumi monografici su invito.
