Curriculum Vitae
Professor Pierre de Gioia Carabellese is Professor (full) of Business Law and Regulation (ECU, Australia), Fellow of Advance HE (York, United Kingdom) and Professor (full) of Law in England and Wales (Huddersfield, 2017). Prior to this, for nine years Pierre was lecturer in business law, senior lecturer in business law and associate professor of business law at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, Edinburgh Business School. Professor de Gioia Carabellese is dual citizen (British and Italian), bilingual (English and Italian) and dual qualified (Solicitor and Notary Public in Edinburgh, and Avvocato in Italy (Rome and Padua/Treviso). Pierre is/has been visiting professor/visiting scientist/visiting researcher/visiting lecturer in a number of international institutions such as Leiden, Complutense, Warsaw School of economics, Stirling. Professor Pierre de Gioia Carabellese is, both academically and professionally, a specialist in banking law, financial law, employment law, contract law, company law and, more in general, regulation. Pierre worked for the law office of banks (Head of Corporate and Investment Banking of Deutsche Bank, Associate at Istituto Mobiliare Italiano/San Paolo IMI) and for international law firms (e.g. senior advocate at Baket & McKenzie).

Heriot-Watt Crucible is a highly successful leadership and development programme which helps participants to broaden networks and interdisciplinary collaborations, achieve more impact through KE and links with industry, enhance potential for public engagement, and become more creative and innovative in their research.
