    Project Highlights

    • 2020-21 IT security Smart Working project: led "Smart Working" project to cope with issues due to COVID-19.
    • 2020 IT security Antispam project: led "Migration Antispam Infrastructure" project in order to migrate Antispam from Brightmail to CISCO ESA (Email Security Appliance).
    • 2020 IT security Web Security (Proxy) project: led "Migration Proxy Infrastructure" project in order to migrate Web Security (Proxy) from TMG to CISCO WSA (Web Security Appliance).
    • 2020 IT security Endpoint project: led "Migration Antivirus Platform" project of about 500 Carabinieri’s Data Center servers, from Symantec Endpoint Protection 14 to TrendMicro Deep Security.
    • 2019 IT security Endpoint project: led "Migration Antivirus Platform" project of about 60,000 Carabinieri’s domain computers (clients & servers), from Symantec Endpoint Protection 14 to TrendMicro Apex One.
    • 2019 IT operation Active Directory project: led "Upgrading Active Directory Domain Infrastructure" project in order to upgrade Active Directory Scheme of the whole domain to MS AD 2016.
    • 2019 IT operation Exchange project: led "Upgrading Exchange Mail Platform" project in order to upgrade Mail Infrastructure to MS Exchange 2016.
    • 2016-present SIEM infrastructure project: design and implementation of a two levels Security Information Event Management platform for monitoring Carabinieri’s network security. The Peripheral Level, deputy exclusively to the acquisition of standardization and aggregation of events. The Central Level, dedicated to the storage capabilities and analysis and correlation. Principal data sources are: Firewalls, Proxies and Domain Controllers.
    • 2016-present Vulnerability Assessment and PenTesting: led cyclical activities to identify, quantify and prioritize vulnerabilities in web application published in Internet and Intranet using OWASP and OSSTMM methodologies and BackTrack/Kali technologies to achieve the aim.
    • 2013-2017 PhD Telecommunications and Network Security:  in 2017 received a PhD degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. The research work focuses on the proposal, in optical fibers, of a novel model of polarization modulation that could be able to improve the single channel throughput, with the same available bandwidth and with a reduction of costs and complexity. Simultaneously, contributed to a project about physical layer security, by exploiting a natural feature of the optical fiber such as the birefringence.
    • 2013 IT Security network: designed and managed the DMZ network improvement, to protect the Carabinieri’s Intranet, in particular designing topology and sizing proxy servers and FW rules to expose web services in security.
    • 2017 Application Disaster Recovery: led project for migration of about 50.000 mailbox in Disaster Recovery Architecture.
    • 2017 IT security Endpoint project: led "Migration Antivirus Platform" project of about 7,000 computers (workstations & servers) to Kaspersky Technology;
    • 2017 IT security Endpoint project: led "Migration domain" project of about 55,000 Carabinieri’s domain computers (clients & servers), from Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 to SEP14;
    • 2016-present IT operation Active Directory project: led "Extending Active Directory Domain" in order to realize the fusion of “Corpo Forestale” with Carabinieri (more than 7,000 workstations and servers), acquiring expertise on security issues and wide geographical networking troubleshooting.
    • 2014-2015 Web Application: led project for the realization of a new web application (in .NET technology and SQL Server) for the Financial Management of the whole Carabinieri’s organization, integrated with other DB’s and systems for data exchange and provisioning.
    • 2012-2013 Web Application: led project for the realization of a new web application (in .NET technology and SQL Server) for the automation of mission economic treatment for all the Carabinieri’s military personnel, integrated with other DB’s and systems for data exchange and provisioning.
    • 2010-2011 Web Application: led project for the realization of a new web application (in .NET technology and SQL Server) for the Patrimonial Management of the whole Carabinieri’s organization, integrated with other DB’s and systems for data exchange and provisioning.
