Gianluigi Me is a distinguished professional with a Laurea in Computer Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (1997) and a Ph.D. in Business Management Engineering from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (2003). As an OF-4 at Carabinieri Law Enforcement, he serves as Deputy Head of the ICT Security Department at Carabinieri Headquarters. With a rich background in R&D, he has held various roles, including Director of Carabinieri National Digital Investigations. An esteemed educator, he has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and LUISS Guido Carli University.
Gianluigi imparts knowledge in Cybercrime and Fraud Detection at Luiss, serves as an Adjunct Professor at LUMSA University, and is an Expert/Trainer for CEPOL and other organizations. Holding patents in security software, his research spans Crime Data Science, Security Economics, Digital Forensics, and Game Theory. He co-edited the “Handbook of Electronic Security and Digital Forensics” and authored "OSINT in the Intelligence Era" in 2023. Actively involved in IEEE Conference Committees and the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Electronic Security and Digital Forensics, he is a distinguished contributor to the field.
